SRRV Philippines 2026: Current Eligibility, Visa Deposits, and Core Requirements
The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is a special non-immigrant visa issued through the Philippine retirement program administered by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), with immigration implementation involving the Bureau of Immigration. The PRA currently identifies foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens who are at least 40 years old as potential principal applicants, subject to the requirements of the selected SRRV option.
Under SRRV Classic, the published visa deposit for applicants aged 40–49 is USD 25,000 for pensioners and USD 50,000 for non-pensioners. For applicants aged 50 and above, it is USD 15,000 for pensioners and USD 30,000 for non-pensioners. A pensioner must show a lifetime pension of at least USD 800 per month for a single applicant or USD 1,000 per month when applying with dependents.
The SRRV Courtesy option applies only to qualifying categories. For eligible foreign nationals aged 40–49, the published deposit is USD 3,000 for pensioners or USD 6,000 for non-pensioners; for those aged 50 and above, the published deposit is USD 1,500. Qualifying former Filipinos have a published deposit of USD 3,000 at ages 40–49 and USD 1,500 at age 50 or above. Eligibility for Courtesy status must be established with supporting evidence.
Core documents include a valid passport and unrestricted tourist status, the PRA application form, medical and police clearances, a Bureau of Immigration Clearance Certificate, photographs, and proof that the required dollar deposit was inwardly remitted to a PRA-accredited bank. Applicants who have stayed in the Philippines for more than 90 days before filing may need an NBI clearance. Foreign documents generally require English translation where necessary and apostille or Philippine consular authentication.
The PRA lists a USD 1,500 processing fee for the principal and USD 300 for each joining dependent, plus applicable annual fees. A spouse and unmarried children below 21 may qualify as dependents; an additional USD 15,000 deposit is generally required for each dependent beyond two, except as otherwise provided for former Filipinos. Fees, bank arrangements, and documentary requirements should be reconfirmed immediately before filing.
