BOI Registration Under the 2026 SIPP: Documents and Approval Stages
BOI registration is a separate project approval from SEC incorporation. The first question is whether the proposed investment falls within the Strategic Investment Priority Plan and satisfies the rules applicable to that activity. The 2026 SIPP was approved and launched by the government in June 2026; an investor should use its current list and terms when assessing eligibility.
Describe the project accurately
The registered activity must match the actual products or services, site, investment program, timetable, and market. A broad corporate purpose in the articles does not establish that a particular project qualifies. The investor should also identify any other government license, environmental authorization, or ownership restriction before seeking incentives.
Prepare the BOI application record
The BOI Citizen’s Charter identifies project-registration procedures and supporting documents, including the prescribed application form and a business model explaining the activity. The submitted materials should present consistent capital, employment, capacity, location, and financing information. Missing or contradictory details can delay technical evaluation.
Approval is followed by conditions
After BOI review and approval, the applicant completes pre-registration requirements and receives a Certificate of Registration stating the approved activity and terms. Incentives depend on the certificate, the applicable CREATE MORE framework, and continuing compliance. They should not be marketed as automatic benefits of simply having a Philippine company.
Build a post-registration calendar
Management should monitor commercial-operation dates, investment and employment commitments, reports, tax documentation, and any required certificate of entitlement to incentives. A project change or new site may require a separate review or amendment. BizzureVisa can assist with company formation and BOI preparation. Contact our team for a project-specific discussion.
