Filing a Philippine Corporation’s 2026 GIS Through SEC HARBOR
A newly incorporated Philippine corporation must prepare for continuing SEC reports, including its General Information Sheet. The annual GIS should be built from current corporate records rather than copied uncritically from a prior filing. The correct form and submission channel also matter.
Check the 2026 form and HARBOR instructions
The Securities and Exchange Commission’s reportorial-requirements page lists 2026 GIS forms for stock and non-stock corporations from the 30 January 2026 launch of HARBOR. The same page states that a Beneficial Ownership Declaration is filed through HARBOR and was mandatorily filed with the GIS until that date. Companies should follow the SEC’s current instructions for the entity and reporting year instead of assuming that a previous eFAST workflow still applies.
Before submission, reconcile the SEC registration number, principal office, annual-meeting details, officers, directors, shareholders, and tax details against signed minutes and corporate books. Ownership through another entity may require analysis of the beneficial-ownership rules. If the company changed officers or ownership during the year, confirm that all related reporting obligations have been addressed.
Retain evidence of acceptance
Identify the authorized filer, review the document with its signatories, and save the submitted version, acknowledgment, and any SEC response. An upload does not by itself establish that every report was accepted. Where a deadline has passed or a prior report contains errors, assess the appropriate correction route before inserting inconsistent information in a new filing.
