SRRV Classic Pensioner: How to Document a Lifetime Pension
For some applicants, the SRRV Classic pensioner route can have a different visa-deposit requirement from the non-pensioner route. The distinction turns on proof of a qualifying lifetime pension, not merely the applicant’s age or present savings. A poorly documented pension can complicate an otherwise complete retirement-visa application.
Check the PRA’s current threshold
The Philippine Retirement Authority’s SRRV program page states the current Classic pensioner deposit bands and calls for proof of a lifetime pension of at least US$800 per month for a single applicant or US$1,000 per month for an applicant with dependents. These figures should be checked again when an application is prepared because program terms may change.
Ask the pension provider for documents that identify the beneficiary, monthly amount, currency and lifetime nature of the benefit. Compare the name and date of birth on those documents with the current passport and PRA application. Where a spouse or child will join the principal applicant, identify whether the higher pension threshold and separate dependent documents apply.
Prepare the application as a whole
Pension evidence is only one part of an SRRV file. The PRA also lists passport and visa status, medical and police documents, photographs, fees and deposit arrangements. Foreign-issued records may need translation and authentication. Do not remit funds on the assumption that a pension letter alone establishes eligibility.
Our retirement visa services can help review the category, documents and sequence. Contact BizzureVisa with the pension type, applicant age and intended dependents for a case-specific assessment.
This article is general information and does not determine SRRV eligibility. Confirm the current PRA rules before acting.
